When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it was drivers and couriers who kept our cities moving.
While many of us were advised to stay home and limit social contact, their role was essential in ensuring that people received what they needed or reached critical destinations.
The pandemic made it clearer than ever that drivers and couriers are vital to our communities.
They don’t just transport passengers, food, and packages from one place to another—they make a real difference in people’s lives.
Whether it’s offering a smile to a passenger after a tough day or taking a moment to chat with an elderly resident during a delivery, their impact goes far beyond the road.
This is why Driber is committed to improving conditions for those who work with us.
We have launched initiatives to offer better opportunities for drivers in Europe, partnered with academic institutions to provide access to free education programs, and developed tools to help drivers and couriers achieve their ambitions worldwide.
Driving an equitable transition to electric vehicles
Beyond our commitment to sustainability through Driber Green and our 2040 zero-emission goal, we are actively working to ensure that all drivers have access to electric vehicles. In collaboration with industry leaders, we are developing programs that help drivers from diverse backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities, transition to EVs seamlessly.
Empowering Drivers and Couriers with Financial Literacy
At Driber, we believe financial stability is key to long-term success. That’s why we offer financial literacy programs designed to help drivers and couriers improve their financial management skills and prepare for the future. From launching Avanza in Central and South America to partnering with organizations in Africa and the US, we are committed to providing the necessary tools to support their financial growth.
Providing Business Skills and Opportunities On and Off the Road
Many of the drivers and couriers who join Driber are entrepreneurs at heart. That’s why we invest in business training initiatives to help them grow beyond driving. In the UK, we collaborate with Enterprise Nation to offer grants and training programs. In South Africa, we support initiatives that train young riders from underprivileged backgrounds, helping them access new job opportunities.
